New Features
  • Added morphological operations on AOIs. (dilate, erode, open, and close) (OPTICKS-1132)
  • Added connected components labeling of "blobs" contained in an AOI. (OPTICKS-1132)
  • Added the ability to save raw DES data from a NITF file. This is done via a RasterElement exporter. (OPTICKS-1151)
  • Multiple images can now be geographically mosaic'ed together into a new window for visualization purposes. (OPTICKS-1153)
  • The user can now create a new RasterElement from an AOI, which is especially useful with the new mosaic capability. (OPTICKS-1153)
  • The Ice Threshold Layer Exporter and Ice Threshold Layer Importer plug-ins are now available to save and load threshold layer files in the Ice format. (OPTICKS-1194)
  • The Convolution Filter capability now supports convolving with any/all bands in the original image using the new "Subset..." button. Previously it was restricted to the first band. (OPTICKS-1183)
Bug Fixes
  • The red, green, and blue contrast stretch values of a raster layer no longer change to unexpected values when RGB is set on the Brightness Toolbar. (OPTICKS-990)
  • The band names and raster element names are no longer partially obscured when selecting a new band to display or a new channel element in the histogram plot. (OPTICKS-1130)
  • Plug-in argument descriptions are now properly saved and loaded with the wizard node when saving and loading a wizard file. (OPTICKS-1174)
  • The performance of Convolution Filter for BIP and BIL interleaved images has been improved. (OPTICKS-1195)
  • The performance of statistics and histogram generation for BIL interleaved images has been improved. (OPTICKS-1195)
  • The Generic HDF5 Importer now works correctly when a 2-dimensional dataset is followed by a 3-dimensional dataset in the HDF5 file. (OPTICKS-1208)
  • IGM Georeference works correctly in batch mode. (OPTICKS-1202)
  • BAD_BAND information stored in a NITF BANDSB TRE will now be properly marked in the initial subset of bands when loading the NITF data. (OPTICKS-1190)
  • When subsetting rows, columns, or bands with the Edit Data Descriptor wizard item, the file descriptor row/column/band list is used as the starting point. This was preventing proper subsetting during import (within a wizard) when the importer selects a proper subset of rows, columns, or bands by default. This subset behavior is now consistent between the import options dialog and the Edit Data Descriptor wizard item. (OPTICKS-1224)
Extension Developer Changes
  • A rounding error was corrected in the View::getVisibleCenter() method that caused the returned value to be off by a fraction of a pixel if the view width or height was an odd number of pixels. (OPTICKS-1201)
  • The GeoTiff Pager can now be directly used by extension developers to page data out of tiff files. (OPTICKS-1189)
  • If two plug-ins have the same name, an error message is now reported to the message log, previously the conflicting plug-ins would silently fail. (OPTICKS-1196)
