Opticks and OIDs
Opticks identifies a number of publicly defined controlled items using object identifiers (OIDs). Information on OIDs and a snapshot of globally registered OIDs can be obtained at http://www.oid-info.com. The page contains information on the controlled items and is the authoritative description of all arcs under the Opticks OID arc.
The root of the Opticks OID tree is registered under the joint ISO/ITU UUID arc.

Description
Registered object pages discuss the registered object details including the registration owner. If a registration owner is not listed, it is assumed to be the Opticks core development team.
Sub-arcs and leaf identifiers must have an integer ID and may optionally have a textual name. Page names should be in ASN.1 local object identifier format. If a textual name is assigned, the format is name(number). If a textual name is not assigned, the format is number. If there is no textual name or a duplicate name exists elsewhere in the tree, use the arc designation within the Opticks arc. For example, the version 1 Encoding page name is 0.2.1 instead of 1.
