Mouse Pan

A new panning mode was added, called "Mouse Pan". In order to activate the mode, you can either "click and release" the "middle mouse button" in a view or press Ctrl+Shift+E when you mouse is over a view to toggle the mouse pan on/off. You can view the following video to get a feel for how the "Mouse Pan" works. The video also shows that the sensitivity of the mouse pan can be adjusted as well.

One of the advantages of the new mouse pan mode is that it retains your existing mouse mode and restores that mouse mode after you exit the mouse pan. To see the benefit of this, first view the video on the right. The video on the right shows how a user might create annotation objects before the mouse pan feature was added. The video on the left shows the same thing, but now using the mouse pan feature.

Change Scale Bar Units

Another new feature in 4.3.1 is the ability to change the units that are displayed on scale bar annotation objects. This video demonstrates this new feature.

Control the number of recent file entries

And finally, the user can now control the number of recently loaded file entries that appear on the "File" menu. In fact, if you set the number to 0, you can effectively turn the recently loaded files feature off. Watch this short video to see the feature in action.
